Obituary for M Richard Dougherty

M Richard Dougherty age 79, of Canton, GA passed away Tuesday, June 07, 2011 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.




Mr. Dougherty was born in Upper Darby, PA. He attended high school in Deland, FL and graduated from the University of Florida in 1952. He was a Korean war veteran and attended Faith Community Church.




Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Monday, June 13, at Faith Community Church, Woodstock, with Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery.




The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 11th, from 7:00 pm until 09:00 pm at South Canton Funeral Home.




Survivors include: wife, Judy Dougherty, Canton, GA; sons, Michael R. Dougherty, VA Beach; Donald G. Dougherty, Lynchburg, VA; Patrick F. Dougherty, VA Beach; daughters, Christine J. Pack, Dacula; Catherine J. Mathews, Springdale, AK; sister, Anne Shippers, Easton, PA; 9 grandchildren also survive.




Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Faith Community Church at 659 Arnold Mill RD, Woodstock, GA, 30188.
