Obituary for Luis "Louie" Antonio Ortiz

Luis Antonio Ortiz, age 75, passed away on September 19th, 2022 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Born on May 5th 1947, in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico to Juanita ‘Blanca’ Nieves and Luis Felipé Ortiz-Rodriguez.
Louie is survived by his wife Christina. His children; Michael (Shannon) Ortiz, Lori (Anthony) LoRae, Kaitlyn and Zackery. Grandchildren; Serena, Maddalena, and Devin. Brothers; Pêpe, Lionel, Ralph, David, and Carlos ‘Callie’.
Sisters; Freyda and Nilda. Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Joan and Donald Eisenberg.
Ex-wife; Mother of Michael and Lori, Carmen Markham. Louie was preceded in death by both his parents and his beloved sister, Millie.
Louie served his country as Marine Staff Sergeant (64-68) in Vietnam. He was extremely proud to serve his country.
Louie never met a stranger. He was quick to make friends, through his love of jokes and storytelling. He did not pass away from dog jaw. (His favorite joke). Louie loved his family and friends. If you were lucky to know him, you were lucky enough. We know he is in Heaven telling his jokes and making the angels laugh, but selfishly wish we could have had him longer to ourselves.
