Obituary for Lee F. Wynn Sr.

Born in Wilcox Co., GA on Sep. 30, 1912

Lee F. Wynn, Sr., age 98, of Griffin, formerly of Canton, GA, died October 7, 2009. He was Founder and first President of the Canton Chapter of AARP, past president of the Canton and Toccoa Rotary Clubs, former superintendent of Canton Textile Mills and earned the Silver Beaver Award with the Boy Scouts of America. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m from the Margaret McFather Chapel of Canton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Floyd Tenney, Dr. C. R. Hill and Rev. Ed Towers officiating. Interment Cherokee Memorial Park. Survivors include sons, Lee F. Wynn Jr. Canton, Charles Wynn, Griffin, Jim Wynn, Jesup. 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. On Thursday.
