Obituary for Joel Grady Lusk

Joel Grady Lusk, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many passed on September 13, 2021 at the age of 64 surrounded by his wife and three sons.
Joel was born in Canton on March 19, 1957 to Grady and Thelma Lusk. On July 31, 1976, he married Robbie, his high school sweetheart. Over the next several years they welcomed their three sons Mark, Matt & Lee. Raising three boys was never easy, but Joel & Robbie always made sure there was hard work, laughter and love for the Lord being taught in their home. When the first grandchild entered the world in 1997, he beamed with pride. Joel has since welcomed seven more grandchildren, and has one more on the way. His grandkids were his true pride and joy and they never questioned his love for them.
Joel was a true man of God and devoted his life to the Lord at a young age. He was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church for over 40 years and served as a Deacon for 30 years. He played an instrumental role in the design, build and relocation of the new Macedonia Church in 2019-2020. He loved the people of Macedonia Church and devoted much of his life to selflessly serving others. His work there has left a beautiful and lasting legacy. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Friday, September 17, 2021, from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Caylor, Rev. Michael Lusk, & Rev Doug Lusk officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, September 16, 2021, and from 11:00 AM to 1:45 PM, Friday, September 17, 2021 at Macedonia Baptist Church.
