Obituary for James P. Mulkey (Jim)

James P. (Jim) Mulkey, age 80, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Northside Hospital Cherokee. He retired from the parts division at General Motors and was a member of Hightower Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2009, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. John Lummus and Rev. Terry Caylor officiating. Interment will follow in Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Terry Mulkey and Tommy Mulkey, Canton and Gary Mulkey, Commerce; daughters, Debbie Wilkins, Canton and Gayl Wilkins, Ball Ground; sisters, Sallie Disharoon, Jasper and Velvie Hughes, Ball Ground; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 until 9 pm, all day Monday until 9 pm and until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
