Obituary for Irene Brookshire (Darby)

Irene Brookshire, age 74, of Waleska, GA passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Piedmont Hospital.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Friday, January 03, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Mayo, Rev. Jimmy Rampley, Rev. Tony Parker, Rev. Johnny McPherson, and Rev. Ed Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Little Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Wednesday, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Thursday, and from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour on Friday at South Canton Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by, first husband, Guy Priest and parents, Rev. W.T. and Matilda Darby.

Survivors include:
Husband- Alvin Brookshire, Waleska,
Sons- Terry (Deborah) Priest, Cumming; Dwayne Priest, Alpharetta,
Brothers- Bill Darby, Waleska; Horace Darby, Waleska; Tom Darby, Waleska,
Sisters- Ola Poole, Waleska; Ruthell Crowe Ipp, Waleska; Liz Foster, Waleska; Mildred Darby, Waleska,
Grandchildren- Teri Leigh Priest, Cumming; Myles Priest, Ellijay,
host of nieces and nephews also survive.
