Obituary

Helen Kathleen Cobb, age 86, of Ball Ground, GA passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at her residence. Ms. Cobb was a very loving and outgoing person. She enjoyed going to Church, crocheting, baking banana bread, her favorite color was pink, and she deeply loved her family.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:00 PM, on Friday, March 6, 2020, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Dottie Williams, and Rev. Andy McDowell officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery located in Roswell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2020, and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at South Canton Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by, Husband: Jack Cobb, Daughter: Teresa Scheibel, Parents: Jon and Bettie McGahee, Brother: Jack McGahee, and Sister: Margie Lingo.


She is survived by:
Son & Daughter-in-law - Craig (Lisa) Cobb
Grand Son - Eric Scheibel
Grand Son - Jacob Phyfe
Grand Daughter - Andrea Messenger
Great Grandchildren - Ethan Scheibel, Brianna Scheibel, and Katie Scheibel.
Sister - Edna Farmer
Several Nieces, Nephews, & Other Family and Friends also survive.

MY SWEET HELEN.MY MOTHERS SISTER AND BFF TILL THE END.GROWING UP SHE AND MOMA WHERE INSEPARABLE THERE FORE TERESA AND I WERE THE SAME ..HELEN AND RUTH WERE REALLY RIDE TILL WE DIE CLOSE. ...TO THE END.WE 4 GIRLS SHARED THE TIME OF OUR LIFE WE WENT PLACES AND DONE THINGS TOGETHER MADE SPECIAL MEMORIES..THEN WHEN WE WERE AROUND 14 HELEN AND JACK GAVE US A BABY .LIL SOAPY.HE WAS THE NEW RIDE TILL WE DIE KID.WE HAD HIM HUNG ON OUR SIDE EVERY TRIP WE TOOK .HE LOVED HIS MOTHER.HE RODE BY HER SIDE FROM THE GET GO.HE RODE WITH MY DADDY AND JACK,HE LEARNED TO DRIVE REAL QUICK AFTER THE QUICK BURGER EPISODE..WE WERE ALWAYS CLOSE.BECAUSE OF HELEN AND MOMA.THEY LOVED EACH OTHER TILL THE END HELEN LOOKED AFTER MOMAS LAST WISHES WHEN SHE DIED.II I TOLD HELEN OFTEN WHEN SHE WAS WITH US HOW MUCH I ADMIRED HER..SHE WAS SOFT SPOKEN AND CALM.LOVED THE LORD.SHE HELPED MY MOM AND DAD WITH THEIR SPIRITUALITY.SHE WAS ONE OF A KIND. SHE NEVER GOT TO ILL SHE HAD A PEACEFUL SPIRIT.AN OLD SOUL...AND LIL SOAPY IS JUST LIKE HER.A OLD SOUL.I KNOW HE WILL MISS HER SO MUCH. WE ALL KNOW SHE WILL BE WAITING FOR ALL HER LOVED ONES ON THAT BEAUTIFUL SHORE ONE DAY. I JUST THOUGHT SHE WOULD BE HERE FOREVER..CRAIG I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU AND IF YOU NEED ME FOR ANYTHING AT ALL I WILL BE HERE JUST CALL ME OR STOP BY.TO THE REST OF THE FAMILY YOU ARE ALL IN MY PRAYERS..
