Obituary for Geneva Reece (Forrester)

Geneva Reece, age 94, of Canton, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Woodstock Nursing & Rehab Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School in the Methodist faith and sang in a gospel group at different churches for several years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Smithmier and Pastor Juan Quantinilla officiating. Interment will follow in Big Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Reece was preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon Reece, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors include her sons, Erwin (Alice) Reece, Jasper, Verlyn (Laurie) Reece, Canton and Terrell Reece, Acworth; grandchildren, Lindsey (Dusty) Bryant, Hellen (Aaron) Hester and Barbara (Daniel) Oliver; 3 great grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends from 5:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
