Obituary for Eric Anton Haynes

Eric Anton Haynes, age 42, of Canton, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011, at his residence. Eric was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He felt a deep love and connection for his family. He was fiercely loyal, patient and kind to all those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend. Eric had a natural ability to listen to and help people in their times of need. He often seemed wise beyond his years. Through all of his trials, he never lost his childlike wonder and belief in the goodness of the world around him.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Trinka Kittle officiating.

Preceded in death by his uncles, Leander Owens and Parnell Morris and cousin, Monique Owens.

Survivors include his spouse and lifetime partner, Leslie DeBord, Canton; daughter, Champagne Haynes, Canton; mother, Hazel Katherine Haynes, Morrow; brother, Michael Haynes, Arkansas; sister, Peiretta Tailo, Morrow; brother-in-law, Terry DeBord, Waleska; sister-in-law, Lisa DeBord, Waleska; grandchildren, Danayia Haynes Robinson and Jaiden Haynes Hill; and nephew, Jamauri Smith.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and until the funeral hour on Thursday.
