Obituary for Emory Green

Emory Green, age 84, of Hoschton, formerly of LaGrange, died Monday, December 12, 2011, at Marietta’s Mission in Lawrenceville.



Mr. Green was born October 22, 1927 in LaGrange to the late John William Green and Florence Hinkle Green. Mr. Green retired from the Atlanta Public School system where he worked as a Principal Accountant for 34 years. Mr. Green served in the Air Force for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 1949. He attended LaGrange High School and Georgia State University. He was a member of Hoschton United Methodist Church.



Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 from the chapel of the South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell McGinnis officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.



The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11: 30 a.m. at the funeral home.



Survivors include wife, Winona Jones Green of Hoschton, daughter, Mitzi Green of Decatur, son, Michael A. Green of Decatur , sister-in-law, Nan White of Pine Mountain. Several Nieces and Cousins also survive.
