Obituary for Eddie Lamar Woodall

Eddie Lamar Woodall, 74, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, from
injuries sustained from an accident. He was born in Calhoun, Georgia on June 11, 1948, to the
late Elbert “Skin” and Dorothy Goss Woodall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by his brothers, Richard Woodall, Jerry Woodall, and Ronald Woodall; sister-in-law, Dolores
Woodall.

He is survived by his daughters, Genia (Chuck) Kirby, Lori (Brent) Whitley; mother of his children,
Shirley Woodall; brother, Larry (Marcelle) Woodall; sister, Linda Crawford; grandchildren, Callie
(Jake Hearn) Walraven, Chase Kirby, Alex (Allie) Kirby, Brody Whitley, Angie (Steve) Patton,
Brandon (Jennifer) Whitley, Clay Whitley; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren;
other survivors include nieces Pam Richardson, Cindy Zimmerman, Tonya Baker, Tammy Foley,
and Melissa Brannon; special loved ones, Dana, Landon, and Carly Curtis.

Eddie was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Known for his green thumb,
yearly garden and canning, love of hunting Indian relics, researching and teaching others about
family heritage, and story telling (some truths...and some not), Eddie’s hands were never idle. For
many years he was a skilled mechanic and loved working on old cars, trucks, and tractors. Eddie
loved working with his daughters Lori and Genia at Canvas Craze, making beautifications for
their customers. Eddie’s favorite pastime was spending time and making memories with his
grandchildren that he was so proud of and loved to talk about to anyone that would listen.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of
Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon, Richard Greeson, and Dwight
West officiating. Burial will following Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving are Richard
Greeson, Bobby Cantrell, Jake Baker, Garrison Baker, Tim Snyder, and Landon Curtis. Honorary
pallbearers are Cash Quinn, Dwight West, and Steve Samples.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, from11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at
Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted, or donation can be made in Eddie’s memory to The Burn Foundation of
America.
