Going through my old elementary school yearbooks for nostalgia, when I found this signature. I still think about you to this day man, thank you for all the laughs and good times.

Dustin, thank you for always being there for me no matter what. i know we didn't always get along 24/7 but i was glad to call you a friend. you were such a kind person and always saw people for who they really were, and you were easy to forgive someone. i miss you every day and i wish i could hear your voice one last time. you will forever be in our hearts.

Dustin was a good friend of mine since i was really little. he was so sweet and always made everyone laugh constantly. i miss seeing his big smile in the hallways. it’s been a few months, but days without his presence are still so unusual. he made me laugh all of the time, he was such a great friend and was such a fun and outgoing person. i’ve never seen someone with a bigger smile on their face than him. nobody could make me laugh as much as he did, he was such a sweet heart. he cared so much for his friends and family. i remember going on field trips with him back in elementary school and he always ended up in my class, we both complained. he treated me like a sister and i felt as if he were my brother. i talked to him all the time. i only wish i could’ve done one thing to help him out, i feel so bad for him having to hold in so much emotion at once. anyways, dustin i hope you’re laughing and having so much fun up there with the angels, looking down on us and i hope you know that you know we miss and love you very much buddy. you’ll always have a special place in my heart.

My heart was sadden over the loss of your son Dustin and wanted to give my warmest condolences to the family. To lose a child a part of you can bring such overwhelming grief but the God of all comfort tells us at 2 Kings 20:5 He hears our prayers, he sees our tears and he feels our pain. At jw.org we can read in the Bible John 5:28,29 that not only does God care but it will move him to remove all the suffering he sees and gives assurance that you will hold your precious son in your arms once again. May all the sweet memories you had with Dustin his smile, his laughter, his love, give you calm and peace to help you through the dark moments until God’s promises come true. Again so very sorry for your heartache.
