Obituary for Dorothy Phillips (West)
Dorothy West Phillips age 72, of Canton, GA passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mrs. Phillips was employed with the Cherokee County Board of Education, and was a member of the New Light Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Monday, October 31, at the New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Caylor, and Rev. Monroe Gunter officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, at South Canton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Phillips.
Survivors include: children, Kyle (Becky) Phillips, Sandy Springs; sister, Sue Swartzmiller, Locust Grove; grand children Brady & Orion Phillips, Sandy Springs; and two loving cats, Patches & Joe.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Light Baptist Church, C/O Weyman Vaughn, 211 Key Drive, Canton, GA 30115.
