Obituary for Dillard C. Turner

Dillard C. Turner, age 76, of Canton, passed away July 4, 2011. He retired from Mead Packaging Co. after 31 years, was an Army Veteran and of Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Chapel South Canton Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Turner officiating. Interment in Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m

Preceded in death by his children, Glenn Turner and Tim Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Turner, Canton; son, James Turner, Kennesaw; daughters, Linda Thomas, Canton, Margie Owens, Kennesaw; mother of his children, Kathy Turner, Canton; brothers, Rupert Turner, Ellijay, Bobby Turner, Waco; sister, Joyce Bailey, Bryson City, NC; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to POW-MIA, Dept. of GA, % American Legion Post 29, 921 Gresham Ave., NE, Marietta, GA 30060.
