Obituary for Dennis Ray Watkins

Dennis Ray Watkins, 70, died Friday, November 18, 2011 at his home in Canton, Georgia.

He was born June 13, 1941 in Dalton, Georgia to Virgil Howard Watkins and Dolly Buckner Watkins.

He is survived by his sons and their spouses, Robert Virgil (Bob) Watkins and Marsha, Mark Carl Watkins and Julie; his grandchildren, Jesse and wife Jaz’Mynn, David, Jennifer, and Ellie; his great granddaughter, Melody; his siblings, Ruby Hause, John Watkins, Charlotte Gasaway, Randall Watkins, and Glenda Bates.

A memorial service will be held at the South Canton funeral home on November 30, 2011 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service. Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia immediately following the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
