Obituary for Connie Thomas (Coker)

Connie Coker Thomas, age 55, of Woodstock, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Altus House Hospice. She was a Nurse Practitioner, MS APN FNP-C, a member of AANP and a member of Woodstock First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010, from Woodstock First Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Hunt and Rev. Jim Law officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Coker and grandson, Mason Ford. Survivors include her husband, Larry Thomas, Woodstock; son, Andrew Thomas, Canton; daughters, Christy (Renato) Amada, Canton and Dawn (Steven) Ford, Birmingham, AL; father, Julian Coker, Canton; brother, Gary L. Coker, Jasper; father-in-law, Frank Thomas, Alamo and grandchildren, Wesley Amada, Spencer Amada, Landon Ford, Dawson Ford and Anderson Ford. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
