Obituary for Clyde Smith

Mr. Clyde Smith, age 82, of Canton, died on June 4, 2011 while camping in North Carolina. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 30 years of service, a member and deacon of Oakdale Baptist Church, member of Sharptop Lodge #680, a Royal Arch, 32degree Scottish Rite. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. from Oakdale Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Henderson and Rev. Mike Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park with Sharptop masonic lodge in charge of graveside services. Survivors include a daughter, Emily Tanner, Canton, sister-in-law, Myrtle Smith, Canton, Grandchildren, Steven and Heather Tanner, Canton, Staci Tanner Mock, Canton, great grandchildren, Tanner Jordan and Brooke Alexandria Mock, several nieces and nephews.
