Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Christopher Chappell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Christopher Joseph Chappell

Christopher Joseph Chappell age 27, of Canton, GA passed away Sunday, August 07, 2011.

Mr. Chappell was a Sergeant in the United States Army, and proudly served two tours of duty in Iraq.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, August 13 at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Chip Ray officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday , and from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour on Saturday at South Canton Funeral Home.

Survivors include: wife, Becky Chappell, Canton; children, Jacoby Chappell, Mckenzie Chappell, Kylee Chappell, all of Canton; father & stepmother, Brad & Lisa Chappell, Ellijay; mother, Jean Erickson, Raleigh, NC; brothers, Clay Chappell, Raleigh, NC, Jacob Chappell, Ellijay, Stephen Pugh, Roswell; sisters, Jody Chappell, Atlanta, Jennifer Sanders; grandmother, Margie Chappell, Jefferson, GA; step grandparents, Margery & Jerome Strayve, Carlsbad, CA; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Trust Fund for Children of Christopher, C/O Clayton B. Chappell, 664 River Lane, Ellijay, 30536.
