Obituary for Bob Stewart

Bobby Stewart’s spirit was commended into the loving arms of God on January 19, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Betrice Stewart and four siblings, Larry Stewart, Sandra Stewart-Daniels, Carlotta Stewart-Jones and Beth Stewart-Minton. He is survived by his wife Susan, two children, Neill and Bethany, a brother John as well as multiple nieces, nephews and extended family members.

As a Vietnam Veteran of the United States military in the Air Force, Bobby experienced many things including the unfortunate exposure to Agent Orange, an exposure which impacted his quality of life in the past couple years. Those experiences, however, did not impact his love and desire to learn more about the scriptures and to teach.

After a progressive career, Bobby found his passion teaching Guitar and Photography at Kennesaw University. That passion extended throughout the rest of his life as he taught and promoted many others personally in their pursuits of music, photography, and scripture. Many of those students became close friends and remain so today. He was an ardent student of the scripture and wrote multiple books of which one was accepted by the Pope into the Vatican Library.

The family expresses their appreciation for the love and support from countless people. Much gratitude and respect goes to the at-home Hospice care givers who truly are angels from God.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 23, 2022, at South Canton Funeral Home.

A memorial service is planned at South Canton Funeral Home, 3147 Marietta Hwy, Canton GA 30114 at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Visitation will precede at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests balloons be sent given the history and experience with those received during Bobby’s hospitalization and recognition from multiple physicians and care givers.
