Obituary for Bob Presley

Robert "Bob" Theron Presley, 58, of Wilson, North Carolina passed away on April 18, 2012 at his residence. Born July 21, 1953 in Canton, Georgia, Bob was a graduate of Cherokee High School and attended Kennesaw College. Following a lengthy career in sales and executive management in the financial services and mortgage industries, Bob's last position was a Correspondent Lending Underwriter at BB&T. Bob was charming and good-natured, knowledgable and could speak at length on many subjects. He was generous with his time and resources, an excellent listener and a loyal friend who will be greatly missed. His unique, independent nature was demonstrated in the way he spelled his last name differently than his family. Bob was an enthusiastic amateur photographer and a lover of music who played guitar. He also enjoyed fitness, spending time outdoors in nature, and travel. Bob was respected and well-known among his colleagues for his excellent work ethic, congenial manner, integrity, and the ability to lead. In Bob's own words, he worked hard and played hard. Bob was preceded in death by his mother Martha Nell Pressley and is survived by his father Thomas Pressley of Canton, Georgia and wife Wanda Presley of Acworth, Georgia. He is also survived by his daughter Jennifer Whitney and husband Matthew of Marietta, Georgia and grandchildren Matthew and Andrew. Bob is survived by his brother, Ronnie Pressley of Canton, Georgia and nephews Joey Pressley and Nathan Pressley and wife Teresa and great-nephews Quentin, Conner and Trace. While we mourn the loss of a beloved son, brother, father, husband and uncle, we rejoice in the knowledge that he believed in Jesus Christ and we will meet him again some sweet day.
