Obituary for Blissina Ann Mason (Allen)
Blissina A. Mason, "Bliss", age 76 of Canton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 peacefully at Heritage Hospice.
Bliss was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and especially loved her role as Nana to her four grandchildren.
Bliss was born on December 18, 1943 in Joplin, Missouri. She held a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Nazareth College and an Associates in Nursing from Kennesaw State University. She proudly worked for 25 years as a registered nurse on the mother/baby unit at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
In retirement she lovingly cared for her mother Regina for many years. She enjoyed all of the activities her grandchildren participated in, including baseball, hockey, dance and theater; she rarely missed a game or performance and was their biggest fan. She was an avid baseball fan and loved the Atlanta Braves.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bliss and Regina Allen. Survivors include Daughter, Laura Edison and husband Kevin Edison; son, David Mason; Daughter, Barbara Hair and husband Kenneth Hair II; Friend and Companion Warren Mason; Grandchildren, Hannah Hair, Joseph Edison, Joshua Hair and Rebecca Edison.
Due to the current situation with Covid-19, the family is having a private visitation and graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in Bliss's memory.
