Obituary for Big Al Simone

"Big Al" Albert Anthony Simone, age 81, born in Hoboken, NJ, April 29,1940.

Albert received his associates degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. He was a draftsman in corrugated design for Mannkraft (30 years) and TimBar Metro Inc. (12 years).

Albie served as a volunteer Firefighter for nearly 50 years with Tiger Hose Co.#1, Fairview, NJ..

He enjoyed boating, water skiing and spent a lot of time on the water. Big Al was the Karaoke King and was very comfortable with a microphone in his hand. He had amazing pitch.

Albert marched with the St. Vincent's Cadets playing 1st Bugle. He and the cadets marched in the Inaugural parade for President John F. Kennedy.

Albert Simone passed away December 8, 2021 in Marietta, GA. after suffering a massive brain aneurysm on the day he lost his wife of 58 years.

He is survived by his children: Phyllis Simone Waddell (Bruce), Penelope Simone; Grandchildren: Brooke, Jordan, Izabella & Maverick Waddell, and Little Barbara Simone; Great Grandson: Dominic Rhyo Rouret; Sisters: Marion "Cookie" Scarpati, Bernadine (Peter) Stigliano; many nieces & nephews.

Al and Barbara Simone couldn't be separated. The Love Story does not end, but a new chapter begins.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Deacon Charlie Carignan officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 11, 2021, at South Canton Funeral Home.
