Obituary for Betty J. Gravley (Whitley)

Betty J. Gravley, age 78, of Cartersville, formerly of Woodstock, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010, at Floyd Medical Center. She and her husband, Harold, owned and operated Gravley's Super Thrift in Woodstock for over 25 years and whe was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Bartow County. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2010 from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Brown officiating. Survivors include her husband, Harold Gravley, Cartersville; son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy (Denise) Wilbanks, Dallas, stepsonj & stepdaughter-in-law, Jerry (Connie) Gravley, Glenville; daughters & sons-in-law, Debbie (Lynus) Sevigny, Grand Forks, ND, Angie (Larry) Henderson, Woodstock, Sue Cavery, Newnan; brothers, James & Roy Whitley, Cartersville and Porter Whitley, Calhoun; sister, Margaret Gravitt, Dallas; 8 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 24, from 5 until 7 p.m.
