Betty Raye Devlin, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Brookdale Northwest Assisted Living in Greensboro, NC. After fighting a courageous battle with cancer, Mrs. Devlin was promoted to Heaven believing with all her heart the Bible verse, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Mrs. Devlin grew up in Lakeland, Florida and was a former resident of both Canton, NC and Canton, GA. She was a school teacher for 25 years and a church pianist for over 50 years. She was a member of Calvary Church in Greensboro, NC where she resided for the past 5 years.

A funeral service is scheduled to celebrate Mrs. Devlin’s life on Saturday, March 25 at 2:00pm at South Canton Funeral Home, located at 3147 Marietta Highway in Canton, GA. All friends and family members are welcome to attend.

Mrs. Devlin was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack Devlin, and by her parents: Sumner Sheridan and Dorothy Raymer Sheridan.

Survivors include:
Daughter - Janet Evans and her husband, Andrew; children - Cara and James of Canton, GA
Daughter - Jill Robinson and her husband, Stephen; children - Savannah and Joseph of Oak Ridge, NC
Brother - Wayne Sheridan of Bristol, VA
Sister - Arlene Sheridan of Winter Haven, FL
Sister-in-law - Shirley Kennedy and her husband, Ray, of Jacksonville, FL
