Obituary for Ben Ledbetter Rev.

Rev. Ben Ledbetter, age 75, of Waleska, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011, at his residence. He was a truck driver for Haygood Hauling and a member of Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel McCoy, Rev. Gene Childers, Rev. Jeff Garland, Rev. Eric Mayo, Rev. Michael McPherson and Rev. Ernest Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Spivey and grandson, Zach Harbin. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ledbetter, Waleska; sons, Randy (Nancy) Ledbetter and Andy Ledbetter, Waleska; daughters, Joan Cline, Ball Ground, Kate Hale Cartersville, Mandy Pruitt, Waleska, Robin (John) Atchley, Waleska; son-in-law, Bill Spivey, Waleska; brother, Herman Ledbetter, Athens and Paul Ledbetter, Jackson; sister, Janie Henderson, Waleska; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, 1 step great granddaughter; a host of nieces and nephews and beloved dog, Poochie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. on Friday until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. South Canton Funeral Home & Chapel in charge of arrangements (770)479-3377.
