Ben Hill, age 64, of Woodstock, Ga passed away Tuesday, October 09, 2018 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Ben grew up in Smyrna, Ga and graduated from Campbell High School in 1972. He met his wife Susie Scrape in Memphis, Tennessee in 1975, and they were married for 43 years. After marriage they returned to the Atlanta area, ultimately making their home in Woodstock where they raised their three children. Ben and his family attended Stonecrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He had a 32 year career with the United States Postal Service before retiring in 2009. Ben was a true outdoorsman and loved to spend his free time riding (and sometimes racing) his motorcycle with the Sunday Social Club, tending to the family land in Dalton on his John Deere tractor, hiking, and hunting, He continued these activities and focused on staying active throughout three years of cancer treatment, and he lived far beyond his doctors' expectations.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Pharis officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dalton, Georgia.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 12, 2018, at South Canton Funeral Home.
