Obituary for Barbara Simone (Valenzuela)
Barbara Joan (Valenzuela) Simone, 84 years old, born on June 15th, 1937 in Havana, Cuba.
Barbara and her family legally immigrated to America where they proudly became U.S. citizens. Barbara attended night school at Dickenson High School in Jersey City, NJ..She was validictorian of her class. Barbara was an amazing seamstress creating wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and various styles of clothing.
She was certified thru Rutgers University, N. Brunswick, NJ. for tax assessing. She was the Tax Assessing Clerk for the Borough of Fairview, NJ, for 27 years. Barbara was very passionate and involved in politics in her town. She enjoyed cooking for her family and celebrating holidays with all.
Barbara passed away on December 2, 2021 at Northside Cherokee from a long term battle with congestive heart failure. She was surrounded by family and love.
Barbara is survived by her children: Phyllis Simone Waddell (Bruce) and Penelope Simone; Grandchildren: Brooke, Jordan, Izabella & Maverick Waddell, Little Barbara Simone; Great Grandson: Dominic Rhyo Rouret; Siblings: Mercedes G. Valenzuela Dolores, Francis "Paco" & Merva Valenzuela and John "Pepe" & Jackie Casa; many nieces & nephews, grand nieces & nephews.
Al & Barbara couldn't be separated. This Love Story does not end, but a new chapter begins.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Deacon Charlie Carignan officiating.
