Obituary for Ernest Leo Meerbach

Ernest Leo Meerbach passed away at 5:10am November 4, 2016. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, June 4, 1929, to Ernest Paul Meerbach and Marie Trepanier Meerbach. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. Ernie was a pharmacist all his career and owned Spaners Pharmacy in Bridgeport, CT, for over 30 years. Ernie was an avid golfer and Cardinals fan. He was a long-time member of Notre Dame Church in Easton, CT, and his later years found him active in the Knights Of Columbus at his home church, St. Michael the Archangel in Woodstock, GA. Ernie's sweet and loving ways endeared him to so many people. He would want you to know that God is Good. All the time!

Funeral services are scheduled for 5:00 PM, on Monday, November 07, 2016, from the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Father Larry Niese officiating.

A burial service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Rd, Fairfield, CT on Friday Nov 11, 2016 at 11am.

There will be no public visitation.

Daughter & Son-in-law - Linda and Bill Slavin, Mooresville, NC
Grand Daughter - Erica Meerbach, Oakland, NJ
Grand Daughter - Kathleen Wilson and husband Sloan, Chicago, IL
