Obituary for Eugene "Gene" Swint

Eugene "Gene" Swint, age 91, of Canton, GA passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Woodstock Nursing & Rehab Center. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from Upjohn Company with 40 years of service. Mr. Swint was married to his lovely wife of 72 years, Ruby. He became an ordained deacon in Parkway Baptist Church in Miami, Florida on September 24, 1964. He taught Sunday School for 10 years and was chairman of the Baptismal Committee and Chairman of the Ushers. He served on the Finance and Pulpit Committees and also served as Sunday School Director and Vice Chairman of the Deacons. Mr. Swint has served as a Deacon of First Baptist Church Canton since he moved to Georgia.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Monday, September 01, 2014, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Dr. George Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, August 31, 2014, and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, September 01, 2014 at South Canton Funeral Home.

Wife - Ruby Keeter Swint, Canton
Son - Randy Swint, Marietta, GA
Niece - Betty Ann Freeman
Niece - Patsy Landers
Grandchildren - Scott Swint, Colorado Springs
Grandchildren - Robin (Scott) McAllister, Wellington, FL
Great Grand Children - Gabrielle, Sean, and Madison
